Nyjah Huston, Curren Caples & More Throw Down at Red Bull Hart Lines 2016
Snow flurries fell from the Detroit sky above Hart Plaza, and with thousands hanging over the walls of the Hart Lines course, they witnessed a level of street skateboarding beyond anything expected. Nyjah Huston, skating at the event for the first time in 2016, put on a technical masterclass over the two-lane course. He’ll take the trophy and a clean $35,000 back to California for his efforts. Last year’s defending champ, Curren Caples, flew through the course on pace for his second-place finish, and the Belgian blur Axel Cruysberghs came in third. “Mano A Mano,” the worlds first Mini Ramp Game of S.K.A.T.E tournament, brought 16 top skateboarders together at Woodward West to compete head-to-head. Single-elimination format, 15 games span across four rounds from April 12 until-May 6 when we’ll crown our first “Mano a Mano” champion.
