The DEEP REST TOUR Video – DC Shoes

THE DEEP REST TOUR is the natural continuity of John’s mission to shine a light on suicide and mental health awareness within the skate community, started in 2021 with his documentary This Too Shall Pass.

In it, John opens up about his own mental health struggles and experiencing suicidal thoughts. John talks about how he uses meditation, breathing, and skateboarding to help deal with depression.

In spring 2023, John is coming to Europe with DCSHOES European riders to meet with the skate community in France, Spain and, the U.K to share his own experience and give tools and tips to help manage mental health.

LEO VALLS – SUNNY – DC Shoes

Leo Valls’ new video part- as a tribute to his daughter, Sunny- shows Leo’s unique style, trick selection and eye for spots. It showcases Leo’s creativity and talent as a skateboarder that developed in the streets of Bordeaux, his hometown, and Los Angeles, his adoptive home. The eye, camera angle and rhythm of Feugz’ filming and editing set to an original soundtrack by Yoshiharu Yoshida, with a tangy cover of “Sunny”, make this video a real treat to enjoy in front of your screen. It also features some of his friends and of course, his beloved wife and daughter Sunny.

DC SHOES : PUSH YOUR OWN STORY | BROOKLINN KHOURY

In the latest installment of DC’s Push Your Own Story video series, they tell the inspiring story of model and skateboarder Brooklinn Khoury. On November 3, 2020, Brooklinn was suddenly and viciously attacked by a pit bull, and she ultimately lost her upper lip. Two years after the attack, the mini-doc recounts the story and follows her path to recovery — all told through new interviews with Brooklinn and her loved ones. What could have been a tragic story ends up being an intimate look at Brooklinn’s refreshing optimism and the vital role skateboarding is playing in her recovery.
