Tony Hawk and the greatest vert legends open up Vert Alert 2023 pushing themselves for fun and to stoke the vert fans in the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Vert Sessions #2 Testing Carbon Fiber skateboard trucks with Lasek, Hawk, Staab, Wilkins, Reynolds..
Bucky is currently helping with the development of carbon fiber baseplates with a friend who develops composites for a few different Formula One race teams. Now that he has a set ready for testing he heads to Mike Mcgill’s skate shop in Encinitas Ca. to set up these first test samples pairing them with his titanium Independent trucks along with his Powell Peralta flight deck, Bones wheels/bearings and bushings. This will be a legendary setup paired with a legendary skate session afterwards with the likes of Kevin Staab, Tony Hawk, Jimmy Wilkins, Heimana Reynolds’s and more.

This years 2021 Banger in the Hanger in Houston went off in true backyard skateboarding form. Returning this year was Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Kevin Staab along with some others you may recognize from last years event. This year Rune Gilfberg, Nicky Guerrero and a few other heavy hitters joined Bucky Lasek in once again tearing up the Houston Vert ramp under the lights with insane skateboarding from an high energy charged crowd. Tony Hawk and Friends travel to San Francisco to thank supporters of the Tony Hawk Foundation, which has helped create over 500 skateparks across the U.S. But see what Tony’s got in store for an unsuspecting public when he recruits the help of Steve Caballero, Lincoln Ueda, Amelia Brodka, Evan Doherty, Kevin Staab, Elliot Sloan, and DJ Z-Trip to take over a parking lot!
Monster Energy – #BOWLZILLA Chile
The Monster Energy skate team traveled down South for the 1st ever #BOWLZILLA event in Chile. The Bowlzilla crew laid down a new concrete bowl just for the big weekend. The event saw legends like Tony Hawk , Steve Caballero , and Kevin Staab competing in the masters category, while on the pro side there was a HUGE turnout with over 30 pros in the mix for the win. In the end Murilo Peres took home the biggest check with Monster Energy’s Tom Schaar grabbing the second spot. The Chilean fans kept the energy high all day, and everyone agreed they were looking forward to coming back next year.
