The Ed Templeton OG Doll for Girl x Modernica

One thing skateboarders agree on are the handful of legends who have left an indelible mark in skateboarding and art making. Girl is proud to announce that four of those heavies have graciously contributed their time and creativity to Volume 2 of the #ModernicaxGirl project.

Each doll is hand constructed of 15 layers of maple ply wood. The top layer of the doll features artwork embedded inside fiberglass and beveled to create a smooth round edges. The doll is finished with a custom wood branding stamp featuring both the @Modernica & Girl Skateboards logos. The doll measures approximately 22″ x 11″ Available HERE.

COLT BOWDEN TOON SERIES – TOY MACHINE SKATEBOARDS

One of the coolest things about doing a skateboard company is all of the dynamic and creative people I get to work with. I met Colt Bowden as a young skateboarder and we sponsored him as an amateur on Toy Machine back in 2004. And although he didn’t end up going pro for us, we always kept in contact and it’s been amazing to watch him build a family and become an amazing artist. Whether it’s building and restoring vintage cars, sign painting, making zines, or doing skateboard graphics, he has found a path to a successful creative life, and I’m happy we get to work with him twenty years on! – Ed Templeton
